Local Entrepreneur, Carolina Martin, is part of “The Sisterhood of Dreamers into Doers” Shelter Event in NYC!

On January 19th, 2010, 40 women from around the U.S. who are part of the "Dreamers Into Doers" group at will make a difference at Safe Horizon, a New York women's shelter for domestic violence. Each "Dreamer" will share her God given talents at this event. One of the Dreamers is our own Cleveland Entrepreneur, Carolina Martin, Founding Executive Director of Art On Wheels, Inc. For some Dreamers, this will mean cooking or baking delectable treats; for others, this will mean handcrafting personal gifts; and still others will share stories and songs.

Art On Wheels will be delivering art kits designed and created by them, a book for each child which was recently written by Carolina entitled Red, Yellow & Blue, and homemade cards created for the women in the shelters by Art On Wheels' students in their art classes. The goal is to inspire the women and children in the shelter to follow their dreams and to take steps to make them a reality. We all need to stand together--not apart.

Art On Wheels is looking for your help. You can make a difference, too, in the lives of these 54 women and their 50 children in the shelter. The hope is that there are some generous souls out there who are are willing to sponsor the costs of the books for the children which totals $500.00. A sponsor is also needed for the art kits which totals an additional $500.00. If you are willing to help in any way, please contact Carolina Martin directly (contact information below) Each donation, big or small, will help immensely as we work to reach our goal of $1,000.00 for our gifts for the women and their children.

You can also help the Dreamers bring hope to the women and children at the shelter by donating items on their dream list, check it out ...

As entrepreneur, artist, teacher, inspirational speaker, author, and as founding Executive Director of Art On Wheels, Martin will begin her 21st year of service, through the organization, by delivering the creative process to the women and children in the NYC shelter for domestic violence. Martin has pledged to expand her outreach in the new year, including using her own blessings and passions to share with others as to how they can find theirs, dream big and make those dreams become a reality for the good of everyone, as she has and continues to endeavor.
